Winter and Spring grinds

Football may be over, but new grinds are coming my way. I will be doing Shot Put for the New Canaan Boys Indoor Track Team, playing D Mid for the New Canaan Boys Lacrosse Team, and doing Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts to not only get me in fighting shape, but to learn some combat techniques for the elite United States Marine Corps. I will also be working out with Bill Curcio in town and before doing Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts, I have to get in cardiovascular shape with Coach Miska and Shot Put Training for this season. The grind continues.

My new roles for St. Aloysius Youth Ministry

I have signed up for new roles for the Youth Ministry at my church, St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church. I have signed up to be an usher to collect donations at 5:30 Mass, an Altar Server, and a Lector. I will help collect money in the baskets to give to the needy. I will also serve at the altar at some 5:30 masses. I will also read verses and stories in the bible at some 5:30 masses. I'm sure that Mrs. Otis, our Youth Minister, Father Rob Kinnally, Deacon Steve Pond, 2 of my favorite priests, Mrs. Cate Pond, Deacon Steve's wife and my old CCD Teacher, and others will feel confident in what I'm about to do.

Home Opener for Football tonight

Tonight is our home opener on Dunning Field at Hawes Plaza at New Canaan High School against the Danbury High School Hatters. Tonight at halftime, they're paying tribute to the New Canaan Rams Football Teams that went on a 33 game win streak from 1968-70. And before the game, they will also pay a tribute and have a moment of silence for Coach Jason "Coop" Cooper, Our former Wide Receivers Coach and who played Football and Lacrosse at NCHS from 1981-84. He caught the game winning touchdown in the 1982 Class M State Championship Game. He then went on to play both Football and Lacrosse at Duke University. And then was on 2 NFL Practice Squads for the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys. This game won't be easy considering Danbury's 1-0 with a new head coach and we're trying to improve on a loss from St. Joe's but our goals of winning the FCIAC and Class LL Title and Turkey Bowl are right in front of us but we're taking it one game at a time. Right now, we're focused on Danbury and see how we can play and win for Coop and those '68--'70 Teams. If we win, I will eat a pizza dinner with the team at Vicolo's Restaurant and I will start my new tradition of my so called "Post-Win date with both Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana." which means like what one of my best friends on the Football Team, Quintin O'Connell does after every win, watches Disney Pixar's Cars. After every win, whether Football, Wrestling, or Lacrosse, I will watch Disney's Hannah Montana. The reason I call it a post win date with both Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana is because in both the Disney Channel show and the Disney Movie, Miley Cyrus plays both Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana. Miley Stewart is the normal girl from Crowley Corners, Tennessee but moved to Malibu, California to pursue her music passions and had created her pop star identity "Hannah Montana." I am kind of attracted to her because she has my brown hair but has a blond wig for being Hannah and has blue eyes like me and has the same white skin, we have the same personalities, her real name "Miley" and my real name "Myles" are exactly alike, My mom looks like she's related to her deceased mother, Susan or her dad, Robby Ray Stewart (Billy Ray Cyrus), Both have brothers that have names that start with the letter J (Jackson Stewart and Jed Baliotti), She could be me as a boy and I could be her as a girl, I think she's my cousin, I like to hallucinate that I'm doing stuff with her as a cousin as I would, etc. Like Q and Lightning McQueen from Cars basically have the same identities. I hope we win tonight!

Senior Internship Program

I got an email from my case manager, Ms. Hammond about Senior Internship Program. This is a program where at the last month of school, 99% of the Seniors at New Canaan High School won't have to go to classes because of the internships they will receive. The application process begins November 19th and ends on my birthday, December 14th. December 19th is the deadline for the self designed internship proposal. January 3rd is when Student Interviews with the SIP Committee begins and ends on January 25th. April 27th is a mandatory meeting for all SIP Students in the Wagner Room and another mandatory meeting for the SIP Students is May 20th in the Auditorium. May 21st is when the Internships begin and end on June 13th with a reception at 5pm in the auditorium but the end date and reception will most likely change due to snow days.

More details:

The Program offers NCHS seniors an opportunity to explore future careers by experiencing the World of Work first hand. It will also provide businesses with motivated and eager workers and a potential pool of future employees.

What to expect:
  • SIP is an approximately three to four week, unpaid internship. It is scheduled for the last three to four weeks of the academic year.
  • Interns will work on-site at a business or organization approximately 25 hours per week, according to a schedule determined by the work site supervisor and the work site's needs. Interns will have SIP tasks to complete off-site, such as journaling.
  • SIP is designed to operate during school hours (on-site hours will be scheduled between 7:30 am and 3 pm) but other arrangements may be made with particular Interns.
  • To the extent possible, students will be matched to an internship that matches their skills and interests.

Senior Year just began!

My Senior Year has just begun at New Canaan High School. There's a lot I want to accomplish in my last school year before I graduate in June. I hope to get recognized in the classroom, on the Football Field, Wrestling Mat, Lacrosse Field, in my job sightings, and at Emmaus with St. Aloysius in New Canaan. I hope to make High Honors all 4 quarters of the school year this year. Last year, I made High Honors in the 1st, 3rd, and 4th quarters and made Honor Roll the 2nd quarter and I earned the Student of the Month Award in March of 2018. Last Football season, at our last home game vs Fairfield Ludlowe, I got in in the 4th quarter and rushed the passer and got a tackle and got announced on Dunning Field's speakers. This Football season, I hope to get playing time and to get in the New Canaan Advertiser. I also hope to be an accomplished Wrestler and Lacrosse Player when I go out for Wrestling in the winter and Lacrosse in the Spring. I hope to get recognized for all my hard work at my internships at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1, New Canaan Parking Authority, and at New Canaan Library. I also hope to have internships at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653, Vineyard Vines New Canaan, and Tony's Deli. I also hope to have a very successful year doing Emmaus with the Youth Ministry at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in New Canaan. This November and March, I get to work at the E76 and E77 Retreats and will help feed the homeless, spend time with the Breakthrough and Thorpe kids, spend time with the elderly retirement home people, etc. After I graduate in June, I will be on a 2 year plan at the New Canaan Public Schools LAUNCH Program to work on life skills and continue my internships I already have. After that, I will be enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in the Infantry hopefully as a Rifleman, then joining the New Canaan Police Department as either a SWAT or K9 and NCHS School Resource Officer, being a Varsity O-Line and D-Line Coach for the New Canaan High School Varsity Football Team, and to still Volunteer at St. A's. I hope to have a great Senior Year this year and hope to accomplish many things!

OL/DL Jack Stewart to Michigan, OL/DL Jack Conley to Boston College, QB Drew Pyne to Notre Dame, and LB Garrett Braden to Rice. I hope to get a position on the 2nd or 3rd Defensive Line on Varsity as Coach Catanzaro said to me and my fellow Linemen to fight for those spots. Then on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend we have a Football Jamboree at New Canaan High School and then it's Game Week vs St. Joe's.

Give 100 Percent and Grind while you do it

Giving 100 Percent is important and grinding while you do it will help you put in that 100 Percent. I always put in 100 Percent and grind while I do it. Whether when I’m on the Football Field, Wrestling, Mat, Lacrosse Field, Weight Room, or Classroom, I make sure I get important work that needs to be done. I currently in the process of giving my 100 percent for my career in the U.S. Marine Corps and the New Canaan Police Department. Yes. It’s hard work. But it’s going to get done and I will give 100 Percent and grind while I do it.

My family tradition of service and how I'll continue it

My family has a tradition of service. Whether it's protecting or helping people, they've managed to be selfless and make commitments bigger than themselves. My dad was a U.S. Navy Officer and Diver who was commissioned from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. My mom's older brother and my uncle enlisted after high school in the U.S. Navy as a Radio Man on Submarines and Destroyers and was a Corrections Officer at a Penitentiary in California. My dad's 2 uncles and my great uncles were in the U.S. Army I think as Infantrymen. My dad's uncle and my great uncle was a Bombardier in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. My grandpa was a Firefighter for the Central Valley Fire Department in Central Valley, California. My 2nd cousin is both a Firefighter and an EMT for the Englishtown Fire Department in Englishtown, New Jersey. My mom's cousin's husband was a Firefighter for the New York City Fire Department. My 2nd cousin graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island and became a Lawyer. My 2nd cousin is at the Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska getting her masters as a childhood cancer doctor and graduated from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois and participated in their medical school. My 2nd cousin is currently interning in the Dietetic Internship Program at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York after she graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. My 2nd cousin is a Lifeguard at Ocean Beach Surf Club in Toms River, New Jersey and still was a Lifeguard even at while he was continuing his education at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. How I'm going to continue my family's legacy of service is enlist with a medical waiver into the United States Marine Corps with an 03 Infantry Contract hopefully to become a Rifleman and see combat around the globe for 4 years. After that, I then will pursue a career as either a SWAT or K9 and NCHS School Resource Officer for the New Canaan Police Department. I currently continue the family tradition of service at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1 as a Maintenance Guy and since my dad is Italian Catholic and my mom is Irish Catholic, I serve with the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Youth Ministry in New Canaan, Connecticut and will continue to serve them when I'm back in town. I also hope to continue to serve my Varsity Football Team at New Canaan High School as a O-Line or D-Line Coach. Service has been a part of me and my family since I was born

What more can I do?

I am already playing Varsity Football and will be doing Varsity Wrestling in the winter and playing Varsity Lacrosse in the spring all at New Canaan High School. I am also a part of the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Youth Ministry. I am a High Honors Student and was Student of the Month in March 2018. I also volunteer at various organizations in town. Like being a maintenance guy at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1, doing desk work at New Canaan Parking Authority, Librarian skills at New Canaan Library, and Dining Prep at Baldanza Cafe. I am also planning on working at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653. I am also planning to have a talent with music at playing acoustic guitar. I am currently training with vision therapists to get a driver's license and a medical waiver to enlist in the United States Marine Corps as an 0311 Infantry Rifleman, to be a SWAT or K9 and New Canaan High School Resource Officer for New Canaan Police Department, Being an Offensive or Defensive Line Coach for New Canaan High School Football and being a Coach and Board Member for New Canaan Youth Football, and to still be a volunteer at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in New Canaan, Connecticut. What more can I do?

Take Care of Business, and work to pursue your dreams.

Whenever there's business that needs to be taken care of, you should leave it to me. Because I am the best at doing it. Whether in school, on the athletic field, during a workout, during an internship, or whether it's a long term goal you want to pursue in the near future, I can do it either way. Take NFL Defensive End J.J. Watt for an example, he lives by a quote, "Dream Big, Work Hard." He worked his ass hard to start in High School for the Pewaukee Pirates of Pewaukee High School in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, he worked hard to pursue his lifelong dream of playing for his childhood College Football team, the University of Wisconsin Badgers, worked hard to be drafted with the 11th pick in the First Round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, and worked extremely hard to get the fan's respect. Though he didn't play for his childhood NFL Team, the Green Bay Packers, he still made results look satisfactory. And that's what I do. I make results look satisfactory. Everyone wants to do something great. We all want to play in the NFL, be a music star, or the next Einstein or whatever it is you want to do, but it's what you're going to do to get you to that point. I have had many dreams throughout my pastime. I pursued a couple of those dreams in High School with playing Football for my High School Team, the New Canaan High School Rams, and working at my local Fire Department, New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1. I also accomplished being a member of the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Youth Ministry. When playing Ice Hockey, I did have dreams of playing in the NHL, but soon realized it was unrealistic considering I didn't play as much as these players played, but I could still play in the Adult Hockey League, or Beer League when I'm older. I also had dreams of playing High School Football, College Football, and in the NFL, but soon realized that one of those dreams would be accomplished, and that was playing High School Football. I had dreams of playing Major League Baseball when I was playing Babe Ruth League Baseball, but quit because it wasn't worth playing anymore. I had dreams of playing in the NBA when I was playing Basketball at my old school, Maplebrook School, but quit because of the unsportsmanlike behaviors in my teammates. Now that I pursued my dreams of playing Football for New Canaan High School, and becoming a member of New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1, I am currently on my journey of making my dreams of serving in the United States Marine Corps as an 0311 Infantry Rifleman, serving with the New Canaan Police Department as either a SWAT or K9 and the NCHS School Resource Officer, being an O-Line or D-Line Coach for New Canaan High School Varsity Football considering those are the areas I play, and still being a volunteer in the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Youth Ministry. Whatever it is that I want to do, I take care of business and pursue what I want to do.

Traditions titles and rewards

I have many traditions with my sports teams, holidays, and family

Sports team wise: The program I play for at my high school, New Canaan Football has a tradition of winning with Connecticut State Titles, FCIAC Titles, and Turkey Bowl Titles all due to Head Coach, Lou Marinelli and former head coaches Joe Sikorski and Bob Lynch. And is one of the most storied programs in the Northeast U.S. Region. And we hope to continue that tradition starting in 2 weeks. New Canaan has a good Wrestling program with currently 2 of the best wrestlers in the country. New Canaan Wrestling will help me condition better and I hope to win lots of matches. New Canaan Lacrosse is a storied High School Lacrosse program on the east coast. With a lot of Division 1 players coming out of this program, they have had won a lot of State and FCIAC Titles. I hope to continue that tradition in Spring of 2019.

Thanksgiving, I play in the Turkey Bowl vs rival Darien and have a Turkey dinner with my dad, mom, brother, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Christmas, I go to church, open presents from relatives and Santa Claus and eat dinner with my dad, mom, brother sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Easter, I go to church, but I first hunt the house for Easter eggs and baskets from the Easter Bunny. Then I do an Easter egg hunt with my brother, sister, and cousins. and eat dinner with my mom, dad, brother, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Rewards I hope to earn this coming school year.

I hope to win the Kevin John "Jack" Dempsey Football Academic Award for New Canaan High School. Kevin John Dempsey, better known as "Jack" was a student athlete at New Canaan High School. He excelled at Football and Wrestling. The September 11th Terrorist Attacks in the U.S. intrigued Jack to pursue his lifelong dream of serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was a fearless leader in combat and saved his fellow Marines when they found a buried bomb with a cell phone attached to it. He saved 7 Marines but was killed in Fallujah Iraq when an enemy detonated the bomb killing Dempsey and another Marine. The New Canaan Turkey Bowl MVP Award is named in his honor and a Football Academic Award too.

When I start working at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653, I hope to win one of their academic awards too.

Titles I hope to earn.

This Athletic Season at New Canaan High School, me and my Football Team are working to win the Connecticut Class LL State, FCIAC, and Turkey Bowl Title, I maybe hope to win at least an FCIAC Title in Wrestling, and me and my Lacrosse team will work to win the Connecticut State Class L and FCIAC Titles.

I am currently on the journey of earning the title of United States Marine.

I am also on the journey of earning the title of being a Police Officer.

Leaving my mark, completing and living my legacy

It's my Senior Year and I am planning on leaving my mark and completing and living my legacy at New Canaan High School for the Rams. In the fall, I will be doing it for New Canaan Football. And in the winter, I will do it with New Canaan Wrestling. And in the spring, I will do it with New Canaan Lacrosse. I will also leave my mark and complete and live my legacy with the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Emmaus Youth Ministry. I'm also going to leave my mark and complete and live my legacy at my internships with New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1, New Canaan Parking Commission, New Canaan Library, and hopefully Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653 both at New Canaan High School and at the New Canaan Public Schools LAUNCH Program.

After High School and LAUNCH, I will be leaving my mark and completing and living my legacy when I do training for my driver's license. Once I have my license, I will be leaving my mark and completing and living my legacy by serving in the United States Marine Corps as an 0311 Infantry Rifleman. After 4 years of seeing combat around the globe, I will be leaving my mark and completing and living my legacy when I become either SWAT or K9 and NCHS School Resource Officer for the New Canaan Police Department, O-Line or D-Line Coach for the New Canaan High School Varsity Football Team, and still volunteer in Youth Ministry at St. A's. The results will mean something in the end.

Why Miley Cyrus/Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana is important to me

Miley Cyrus and her Disney Character Miley Stewart who’s stage name is Hannah Montana is important to me because she is very determined, adacious, witty, compassionate, stylish and hyper. And I possess all those character traits. She and I have the same white skin, brown hair, and blue eyes. When she's not Hannah, she's Miley. Her dad Robby calls her Mile for short and her brother Jackson calls her Miles for short. She and I sometimes do things that are wrong to do. She and I have our special talents. She and I look exactly like twin cousins and I kept saying to everyone I know, "It's like we was related." We both have went through struggles in our lives but found our way to get back up on our own 2 feet. These are lyrics from her song “The Climb” to describe that sentence: “There's always gonna be another mountain I'm always gonna wanna make it move Always gonna be an uphill battle Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side It's the climb.”

In both Hannah Montana The Movie and TV Show, Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana struggled with relationships in her father, her brother Jackson, her best friend Lilly, her Grandma Ruby, and her lifelong friends Travis and Oliver,  but managed to get passed those struggles and to care for them. She also struggled with other things and that’s how she wrote my favorite Hannah Montana, Miley Stewart, and Miley Cyrus song, “The Climb.”

I struggled with things such as relationships with my family and friends, getting out of a School I hated, medication problems, disability struggles, and others.

When I was going through a crisis, I struggled with relationships with family and friends as well as medication and my autism. I had to spend a good week and a half in the Yale-New Haven Hospital in the Mental Instutitional Unit. I never had a criminal record, but did pretty messed up shit that was fucking messed up. But I kept fighting back and I feel better. I also struggled getting out of my old boarding school, Maplebrook School when I also did messed up shit there too. But I managed to get out of there and was able to go to New Canaan High School.

Miley Cyrus/Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana all pursued their goals of being singers and following in her dad, Robby Ray Stewart/Billy Ray Cyrus's footsteps when they still struggled in life.

My goal after High School is to get a medical waiver for my autism to follow in my dad's footsteps and serve my country and join the United States Marine Corps as a 0311 Infantry Rifleman, become either a SWAT or K9 and NCHS School Resource Officer for the New Canaan Police Department, become an O-Line or D-Line Coach for the New Canaan High School Varsity Football Team, and continue to volunteer at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church.

What I did achieve this past School year was going to New Canaan High School and playing Varsity Football and I will soon be pursuing playing time for both Varsity Wrestling and Varsity Lacrosse for the Rams. And I also accomplished being a member of the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Emmaus Youth Ministry.

“There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb.” -Hannah Montana, Miley Stewart, and Miley Cyrus

How do I want to be remembered?

When I die, I will likely go to heaven. I have done a lot of good things in my life. I have been baptized, received reconciliation and communion, and got confirmed in the Roman Catholic Church and was in my Church's Youth Ministry. I was also an active athlete growing up who played all kinds of sports in New Canaan, Connecticut but focused on Football, Wrestling, and Lacrosse when I got to New Canaan High School. I was a multi star athlete for the Rams. I would then go on to the  LAUNCH Program in New Canaan. While on a 2 year plan, I had internships that I had at NCHS that included working at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1, Baldanza Cafe, New Canaan Parking Commission, New Canaan Library, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653. After a 2 year plan at LAUNCH, I would enlist in the United States Marine Corps as an 0311 Infantry Rifleman and would see combat around the globe. After 4 years in the Marine Corps, I then served as a SWAT or K9 and the NCHS School Resource Officer for the New Canaan Police Department. I was also a O-Line or D-Line Coach for the New Canaan Varsity Football Team. I would continue to volunteer at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church with the Youth Ministry.

I want to be remembered as the accomplished Football player, Wrestler, and Lacrosse player, the tough United States Marine that never surrendered and defeated the enemy, the Police Officer who would always protect you, the Football Coach that was dedicated to changing player's lives, and most of all, the believer in Christ.

Interests and Desires

I take a careers class at New Canaan High School with Mr. Joe Ditolla. He teaches me and my classmates about employment out there and teaches us how to properly work at the job. He sends his students with internships out into the community. As a newly transferred student last year, I was supposed to start out with a job inside school and it was to go into the NCHS Library. But that changed when Mr. Ditolla, my case manager Ms. Hammond, speech therapist Ms. Mahon, and job coach Ms. Cottrell noticed my level of independence was at an all time high and that my job skills were at an all time high. So then I became the first new student to work out in the community. I worked at Baldanza Cafe, New Canaan Library, New Canaan Parking Commission, and now I work at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1. I hope to intern at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653. I even work in the Ramazon School Store with my Careers class to get extra work time in.

One of the things that we went over in Careers class is interests and desires. I am going to explain what my interests and desires I pursued and the interests and desires that I'm in the process of pursuing.

1. Sports (Football, Wrestling, Lacrosse) Pursued one and in the process of pursuing the others

2. Youth Ministry Pursued

3. Military (U.S. Marine Corps) in the process of pursuing

4. First Responding (New Canaan Fire Dept. and New Canaan Police Dept.) Pursued one and in the process of pursuing another

5. Coaching (Football) in the process of pursuing

My More Professional Bio

Let's start from the beginning, shall we?

My name is Myles Baliotti and I am from New Canaan, Connecticut. I grew up an athlete that played all kinds of sports but focused on Football, Wrestling, and Lacrosse at New Canaan High School in New Canaan, Connecticut and am currently training to see playing time this year since it's my senior year. After I graduate, I am going to the New Canaan Public School's LAUNCH Program to continue to work at my current internships.. One at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1, one at New Canaan Library, and one at New Canaan Parking Commission. I hope to get one at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653. I also enjoy being involved with Youth Ministry at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in New Canaan. I come from a family of 1 brother and 1 sister and my mom and dad. My brother, Jed plays Ice Hockey at Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts and is a USA Hockey National Development Goalie. My sister, Celia does gymnastics and currently training to be a competitive gymnast and goes to New Canaan Country School. My mom, Kate is a retired Fashion Designer, Parsons School of Design Graduate, and was an accomplished Basketball player at Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, California. My dad, Marc works in Private Equity at GSO Capital Partners and Blackstone Group, United States Navy Veteran, United States Naval Academy Graduate and accomplished Rugby player, and was an accomplished Swimmer at New Canaan High School. My brother Jed and I are 1 year apart and almost share the exact same interests and desires. When I grow up I'd like to serve in the United States Marine Corps. I want to serve in the Marine Corps because my dad went to the Naval Academy and served as an Officer and a Diver in the U.S. Navy, and the Marine Corps is a Department of the Navy and the Naval Academy trains Navy and Marine Corps Officers. My uncle Brian was an Enlisted U.S. Navy Sailor and served as a Radio Operator on Submarines and Destroyers, both my Uncle Dan and Uncle Vinnie Falotico served in the U.S. Army, and my uncle Vinnie Speziale served as a U.S. Air Force Airman during the Korean War and I have the utmost respect for all their services. But the main reason is that no one in my family was ever a Marine and I would be the first Marine in the Baliotti and McCarthy families. I want to enlist as an 0311 Infantry Rifleman so I can continue the Marine Corps Rifle Tradition and see combat around the globe. After the Marine Corps, I want to become a SWAT or K9 and the NCHS School Resource Officer for the New Canaan Police Department. The reason I want to be a Police Officer is because my uncle who was a Radio Man in the Navy was also a Corrections Officer at a California Penitentiary and guarded Charles Manson. My grandpa, my mom's cousin's husband, and my 2nd cousin were all Firefighters and an EMT. One for Central Valley Fire Department in California, one for the New York City Fire Department in New York, and one for the Englishtown Fire Department in New Jersey. My 2nd cousin became a Lawyer after graduating from Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island. My 2nd cousin is getting her doctorate's degree to becoming a doctor in childhood cancer at Creighton University Medical School in Nebraska, my 2nd cousin is interning for the Stony Brook University Dietitian Program in New York, and my 2nd cousin is a Lifeguard at a Surf Club in New Jersey. I will also be the O-Line or D-Line Coach for the New Canaan High School Varsity Football Team and continue to volunteer at my church.

This past Football Camp and the one in August

This past week, I had Football Camp at Dunning Field at New Canaan High School. I got better with my tackling techniques and blocking techniques. There were 2 other teams that we hosted at our camp and they are the Greenwich High School Varsity Football Team and the New Rochelle High School Varsity Football Team. Former NFL Running Back standout for the Baltimore Ravens Ray Rice is a Coach for his High School, New Rochelle. He played Running Back at New Rochelle HS and then played Running Back at Rutgers University and then was drafted in the 2nd Round with the 55th Pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2008 NFL Draft. He even has a Super Bowl Ring. We have a camp in August the whole team is attending. It might either be an overnight or day camp but I'll keep you up to date.

My trip to Spain

Tomorrow, I am going to Spain with my mom, dad, brother, sister, with 3 of my cousins, with 2 of my aunts, my uncle, and my grandparents. We are going to be in Barcelona and Madrid. We are going to do a lot of sightseeing, eating Spanish Food, and lots more. One of the things I’m looking forward to is going to see Sagrada Familia. Sagrada Familia is an unfinished Roman Catholic Church in Barcelona that’s been under construction for at least 200 years and needs another 40 or 50 years of construction. My goal is to be closer to Jesus and God when I go into Sagrada Familia. Spain should be interesting. 🇪🇸

What God built me for

God built me for many things. God built me to be physically and mentally tough, physically and mentally strong, faithful, loyal, and humble. The things that God built me for carry over into my High School Football Career and will carry over into my High School Wrestling and High School Lacrosse Careers all at New Canaan High School. They also carry me over into my Youth Ministry Career at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church. What God built me for will also carry over into my Careers in the United States Marine Corps as an 0311 Infantry Rifleman, also  as either a SWAT or K9 and School Resource Officer for the New Canaan Police Department, as either an Offensive Line or Defensive Line Coach for the New Canaan High School Rams Varsity Football Team, and as a volunteer at St Aloysius for the Youth Ministry. God has built me for a lot of things.

Where my family heritage comes from

Both my parents are Catholic, but their families come from different parts of the world. But both of their family heritages are in Europe. My dad's family heritage is from Italy. The Baliotti family immigrated from Sicily, Italy to New York USA. My mom's family heritage is from Ireland. The McCarthy family immigrated from County Mayo, Ireland to New York USA. Being Italian and Irish is a good combination of nationalities. As we always say, Irish Temper, Italian Attitude.

Holidays my family celebrates and our traditions for them

My 2 Purposes In Life

My first purpose in life is to work hard at whatever I do. I have been recently working hard to get on the field on September 8th against St. Joe's for our season opener in Football. This past school year, I have been working hard in the classroom and managed to get High Honors 3 out of 4 quarters of the school year. I hopefully will manage to work beyond my limits this upcoming school year as I prepare for the future. I hope to get High Honors all 4 quarters and hopefully see the field this Football season, and hopefully also see the mat in Wrestling and the field in Lacrosse. I also have been working hard at my internships. The Firefighters at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1 have really appreciated my hard work. Same with the Librarians at New Canaan Library and the Parking Officials at New Canaan Parking Commission.

My second purpose in life is to help other people. I have been helping other people through our activities that we do when I'm with the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Youth Ministry. I have done things like a Cinco De Mayo party with the kids at Breakthrough, played bingo and made crafts with the elderly seniors at the retirement home, took the Thorpe kids to the park in the Bronx borough of New York City, and lots more! I will hopefully continue to help other people in the near future like my family members have done. I plan on serving and protecting other people as an 0311 Infantry Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps, also as a SWAT or K9 and School Resource Officer with the New Canaan Police Department, helping Student athletes as a coach on the New Canaan High School Varsity Football Team, and continue to help the same type of people that I help now by still volunteering with my congregation, St. A's. The type of family members that I have that help or have helped other people is my dad, Marc, my Uncle Brian, my Uncle Vinnie Falotico, my Uncle Dan, my Uncle Vinnie Speziale who are all Veterans with 2 in the U.S. Navy, 2 in the U.S. Army, and 1 in the U.S. Air Force and I have the utmost respect for all their services. Also, my grandpa was a Firefighter with the Central Valley Fire Department, my mom, Kate's cousin Joanne's husband Paul Roncallo who was a Firefighter with the New York City Fire Department, my 2nd cousin Connor Flynn who is a Firefighter and an EMT with the Englishtown New Jersey Fire Department, my 2nd cousin Katie O'Brien who just graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law and is now a Lawyer, and my 2nd cousin Lindsay Zayia who is pursuing her medical career at Creighton University Medical School who will become a doctor for Childhood Cancer. My family is dedicated to helping people.

What is God calling me to do?

For every Catholic, God calls them to do something in their life. Whether it’s to get married, be single, become a priest, and whatever you believe God is calling you to do. For me, I believe God is calling me to be a United States Marine Corps Infantry Rifleman, SWAT or K9 and School Resource Officer for the New Canaan Police Department, a Football Coach at New Canaan High School, and still be a volunteer at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church. Because all of those things that I believe God is calling me for are all helpful things to other people. God is calling me to do something that’s bigger than myself.

Steubenville NYC Catholic Conference 2018

I am at Steubenville NYC 2018 with the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church Youth Ministry. The Steubenville Conference at St. John’s University in Queens, New York City was actually founded by guys from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio but also do multiple other conferences around the United States. And it allows its participating Youth Ministries from the Diocese that St. A’s belongs to, which is one of the most active Dioceses in the country, to be closer to Jesus and God. We do things such as Confession, Adoration, but the rest you’ll have to strike up a conversation with me about. But it allows me to do what I do at Emmaus retreats and Youth Ministry activities, to be closer to Jesus and God. God Bless in the name of the father, the son, and of the holy spirt. Amen.

How I build strength and condition well

I build strength and do really good conditioning by training with both Bill Curcio at Curcio Training at HALO Fitness in New Canaan and with the NCHS Outside Linebackers Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, Jason Miska. They both work me well. We do workouts that range from cardio work, lifting, core workouts, etc. These workouts aren't just for Football, but they are also to help me stay in shape and work for my other goals such as serving in the United States Marine Corps and serving in the New Canaan Police Department. I get tougher every time.

1. Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation
2. New Canaan Athletic Foundation
3. Navy SEAL Foundation

Emmaus Senior Year

With my Youth Ministry at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in New Canaan, I am going to get more involved like I did this year. I will go to activities like Thorpe, to be with my buddy Jero, do activities with the kids at Breakthrough, doing activities with the elderly retirement home citizens, like my friend Rinna, who is from Italy, feed the homeless and unfortunate, and go to the Catholic Underground. I even will consider to Mrs. Otis about doing an activity with the War Veterans over at the VFW Post 653. I think it would teach them what Christ called them to do. And don't forget our Emmaus Retreats! This November, I will be working at E76 with my mom, Kate. My mom will be on Team Cha, that gets to make meals and desserts. I will either be on Cele or Chara. One of those teams brings fun and excitement to the candidates and the other gets to write letters to the candidates. E76 will be a blast!

Sports to play after my Senior Football Season

As you all know, I play Varsity Football for the Rams of New Canaan High School. It is my senior year and we are heading into this season highly touted. We are in the process of going 13-0 and winning the Class LL State Championship, FCIAC Championship, and Turkey Bowl with the incredible Senior Class I'm in with 4 Division 1 College Football Commits. But after Football Season, I won't have anything to train for Football wise because I'm graduating. So, after Football season I have decided to try out for the Varsity Wrestling and Boys Varsity Lacrosse Teams at New Canaan High School. I would be a Defenseman in Lacrosse and a tough wrestler. Like I am an Offensive Guard and Defensive Tackle in Football. I hope to make this the best athletic school year yet.

New Opportunities to look into

So with my internship program at NCHS, I so far work for New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1, New Canaan Library, and New Canaan Parking Commission. I am also looking into working at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653 since my goal after 2 years at LAUNCH, passing my driver's license, and getting a medical waiver is to serve in the United States Marine Corps and then serve in the New Canaan Police Department. But I am currently looking into the idea of working at Vineyard Vines with a girl from LAUNCH named Annabelle Clancy and maybe also work at Joe's Pizza. I like Vineyard Vines clothing because it makes me look preppy and classy. And with a job there, you get a employee discount off anything in the store. I hope this all works because I am a hard worker.

Internships and Youth Ministry

I intern at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1. I am a maintenance guy there. I clean fire trucks, I vacuum stairs, and I sweep the bay which is where the Fire Apparatuses park. I am friendly with all the Firefighters. I will hopefully continue to work there in the school years at NCHS and LAUNCH.

I also intern at New Canaan Library and New Canaan Parking Commision. I give out and file tickets, I envelope letters, etc. I also do the book drop, put books and dvds away, etc. I also am going to intern at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653 in New Canaan Connecticut. It’ll be interesting.

I also volunteer for my Youth Ministry at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church. We do a lot of things that get us closer to Jesus Christ himself. We have our retreats in November and March. We also feed the homeless, spend time with underprivileged kids, spend time with elderly folks at the retirement home, those types of things. I want to keep up my faith because being both Italian and Irish Catholic is important to my life and so is Jesus, Mary, and God.

Sports

I play on the Rams Varsity Football Team at New Canaan High School. I play Offensive and Defensive Lineman. We are heading into the 2018 season with a bang. As New Canaan so far has the best Senior Class in the State of Connecticut. 4 of my teammates have already made Division 1 College Football Commits. Junior Quarterback Drew Pyne to Notre Dame. Senior Offensive and Defensive Limeman Jack Stewart to Michigan. Senior Offensive Lineman Jack Conley to Boston College. And Senior Outside Linebacker Garrett Braden to Rice. My class has a huge winning record from 3rd grade all the way up to this point. In 7th grade, we won the FCFL Championship. We went 9-0 our Freshman Season at NCHS. And now, we have a chance of going 13-0 with State, FCIAC, and Turkey Bowl Titles. New Canaan Football has 22 State Championships, 8 FCIAC Championships, 21 FCIAC Division Championships, and 14 Turkey Bowl Wins. But winning all 3 titles and going 13-0 is something that last happened was 10 years ago in 2008. Make it happen.

After Football Season, I will be joining the Rams Varsity Wrestling and Boys Varsity Lacrosse Teams.

United States Marine Corps, New Canaan Police Department, and Coaching Football

Once I get a license and a waiver, I will be enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. I want to join the Marine Corps is because that my dad was a U.S. Navy Officer and Diver. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. And the Naval Academy trains Navy and Marine Corps Officers. I also had an uncle on my mom’s side who enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine and Destroyer Radio Man. And I had 2 uncles in the U.S. Army. And an uncle in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. So I would be he first Marine in my entire family. I want my Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) to be an 0311 which is an Infantry Rifleman. The reason I want to be an Infantry Rifleman is because the Marines live by an ethos. “Every Marine is first and foremost a Rifleman.” And the Infantry Rifleman see a whole lot of combat in the world and America's the most deadly and fierce combat weapons. They never surrender and are hard to beat in a gunfight. Marines have been winning our nation's battles since November 10th, 1775. The Marine Corps Battle Cry is Battles Won. The ultimate reason on why I want to join the Marine Corps is because they are known as the world’s finest fighting force and one of the greatest rewards of serving in the Marines is that there’s no such thing as ex or former Marines, Once A Marine. Always A Marine. Semper Fidelis Always Faithful.

After the Marine Corps, I then want to go back to my hometown, New Canaan, Connecticut and join the New Canaan Police Department and Coach Football. I want to be a Police Officer because my grandpa was a Volunteer Firefighter in Central Valley California, my mom’s cousin’s husband was a FDNY Firefighter, my 2nd cousin is a Firefighter and an EMT in Englishtown, New Jersey. I also have a 2nd cousin who just graduated Roger Williams University School of Law and is now a lawyer and a 2nd cousin who is current at Creighton University Medical School getting her degree in being a doctor in childhood cancer. I want to be either in the SWAT Team or K9 Team, and be a School Resource Officer at New Canaan High School. I also want to coach my Varsity Football Team as either an O-Line or D-Line Coach. I will also continue to volunteer with my youth ministry at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in New Canaan. I always and continue to be a friendly guy in my community.
