About me

Hello my name is Myles Christopher Baliotti and I grew up in New Canaan, Connecticut roughly 40 minutes from New York City. I was diagnosed with Autism at age 2 and grew up playing all kinds of sports but focused on Football and Lacrosse when I got to New Canaan High School. I was also a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT with the New Canaan Fire Department and New Canaan EMS. I even was involved with St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church and did their Youth Ministry and went on their Emmaus Retreat. I am currently enrolled at THE Ohio State University where I’m one of the Student Managers for Men’s Lacrosse that also plans on working with the Football Program. I grew up with 2 siblings, Jed and Celia and my parents Marc and Kate. My brother Jed plays a lot of Ice Hockey. He’s a Goalie committed to the University of New Hampshire currently playing Juniors Hockey with the Naniamo Clippers of the BCHL. He played Prep School Hockey at Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts. My sister Celia plays Hockey and Lacrosse at New Canaan Country School and for the NCLA 8th grade Girls A Team and will be headed to 9th grade next year. My mom Kate grew up playing Soccer, Basketball, and Softball at Sir Francis Drake High School, now Archie Williams High School in San Anselmo, California just outside of San Francisco and  became a Fashion Designer. She attended University of Oregon for 1 semester before transferring to Parsons School of Design. My dad Marc swam at my Alma mater New Canaan High School and then swam for 1 year and played 3 years of Rugby at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland where he graduated with high distinction and got his Master’s in Finance from Villanova University while serving active duty as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy as a Diver and an Administrator. I grew up with all their exact same interests and desires. When I grow up I want to be a Strength Coach in the National Football League (NFL). I always had NFL Dreams as a kid and was fortunate to play Football and Lacrosse in high school. I am currently one of the Student Managers for the Ohio State Buckeyes Men’s Lacrosse Program and hope to balance that with a position with the Ohio State Buckeyes Football Program. I had played both Football and Lacrosse at New Canaan and wanted to do the same and be involved with both sports here at Ohio State. Before I decided to focus on a Sports career, I had desires of serving in the military or in law enforcement or as a first responder. I always saw myself continuing our family legacy at the United States Naval Academy playing Football and Lacrosse and either serving as a Marine Corps Infantry Officer, Navy SEAL, Navy Pilot, or Marine Corps Field Artillery Officer. I also dreamed of being either a Police Officer, Firefighter, or EMT since I used to wear Firefighter outfits around as a kid and would eventually volunteer for my fire house and EMS office.  But after learning about the rigourous academics that the Naval Academy has and about the hard life in either the Navy or Marine Corps, and after volunteering and had already pursued my dreams of being a first responder, I decided to focus on a career in the NFL as a Strength Coach. Jason Miska, who was my Football Coach at New Canaan and was the Strength Coach who played at Auburn University, inspired me to do this job. My dream scenario in the NFL would be to work with the San Francisco 49ers since it’s where my mom grew up and we still have family out there. I’ve also kept teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, or the Philadelphia Eagles in mind. I also envision myself working with both Ohio State Football and Ohio State Men’s Lacrosse as their Strength Coach, and plan to work with them as a Student here. Thanks for taking the time to read!

An appropriate finish

I had the most appropriate finish to New Canaan High School by winning an FCIAC Championship in Lacrosse, doing my Senior Internships at Weed and Duryea and New Canaan Fire Department, and giving a speech at my graduation. I worked at Hobbs Incorporated this summer, a construction contracting company where I cleaned up construction sites and got paid really good money. I did a ride along with Officer Roy Adams of New Canaan Police Department to see what it's like in the life of a cop. This fall, I will be at the LAUNCH Program and Norwalk Community College where I will be taking a Police Exam Prep Course, possibly interning at New Canaan Police Department, interning at New Canaan Fire Department, working at Hobbs Incorporated, Vision Therapy to get my driver's license, and training to go either into the United States Marine Corps or United States Army. After I came back from my trip to see family in San Francisco, California, after my workout with Bill Curcio I test drove Bill's Jeep and was successful at it. I will continue to train with Bill and Coach Miska. This will be a successful drive and am looking forward to it.

Internships, Lacrosse, Indoor Track, LAUNCH, Emmaus, and Summer Job.

I recently had my PPT at school and we touched base on numerous subjects. Internship wise, I went back to volunteering at New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1. I am hoping to get one at either New Canaan Police Department or New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps. I have finished up Indoor Track which went well and was a standout Shotput thrower. I am currently getting ready for Lacrosse Season where I hope to see some Varsity action like I did with Football. At LAUNCH next year, I will be getting ready for my goals. I will be training for the United States Marine Corps and New Canaan Police Department. I will also be taking a class at Norwalk Community College on First Responding. Emmaus will be fun this year as I am an Adoration Liaison for the 2nd straight time and am on Cha where we cook meals for the candidates on the retreat. I have just been hired by Hobbs Incorporated a Construction Contracting company to work on Construction Sites using certain tools and those types of things. The transition process with LAUNCH is going well so far.

LAUNCH Program

Next year, I will be attending the New Canaan Public Schools LAUNCH Program which is a postgraduate vocational program. There I will be getting jobs, taking vocational classes, and training for the United States Marine Corps. This will be a familiar but unique experience.

Winter and Spring grinds

Football may be over, but new grinds are coming my way. I will be doing Shot Put for the New Canaan Boys Indoor Track Team, playing D Mid for the New Canaan Boys Lacrosse Team, and doing Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts to not only get me in fighting shape, but to learn some combat techniques for the elite United States Marine Corps. I will also be working out with Bill Curcio in town and before doing Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts, I have to get in cardiovascular shape with Coach Miska and Shot Put Training for this season. The grind continues.
